Sign In & Out
Children must be signed in and out daily using the center’s designated attendance system.
Pick Up On Time
The center closes promptly at the posted closing time. Late pick-up fees may apply.
Keep Info Updated
Emergency contacts, phone numbers, pickup lists, and medical records must remain current.
Parent Handbook
The Parent Handbook contains important center policies, including enrollment,
drop-off and pick-up, transportation, health and illness, tuition, discipline,
safety, medication, dismissal, withdrawal procedures, and parent responsibilities.
Parents/guardians are responsible for reviewing the handbook and following all
current center policies.

Brightwheel Communication
Brightwheel may be used for parent communication, attendance, daily updates,
messages, photos, reminders, billing, and important center announcements.
- Check Brightwheel regularly for updates
- Keep your contact information current
- Use professional and respectful communication
- Notify the center if you are not receiving messages
Tuition & Payments
Tuition and fees are due according to the center’s established payment schedule.
Tuition is generally due in advance for the upcoming week unless a different
written arrangement has been approved.
- Payment reserves your child’s enrollment space
- Full tuition may still apply during absences, holidays, vacations, and closures
- Late payments may result in late fees
- Accounts must remain current to maintain enrollment
- Outstanding balances may be subject to collection efforts
Drop-Off Procedures
Parents/guardians must escort children into the building and ensure the child is
signed in through the center’s designated attendance system.
- Children should never be left unattended in vehicles, parking areas, or entrances
- Important updates should be shared at drop-off
- Children should arrive with needed supplies and appropriate clothing
- Please allow enough time for a calm classroom transition
Pick-Up Procedures
Children will only be released to authorized persons listed on the child’s pickup list
unless prior written approval has been provided and verified by administration.
- Photo identification may be required at any time
- Children must be signed out daily
- Pickup lists must be kept current
- Custody restrictions require official legal documentation
Health & Illness
Children should remain home when they are ill or unable to comfortably participate
in normal daily activities. The center reserves the right to determine whether a child
is well enough to remain in care.
- Children may be sent home for fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, breathing difficulty, or contagious symptoms
- Parents must pick up sick children promptly after notification
- Doctor’s notes may be required for certain illnesses or repeated symptoms
- Medical records and immunizations must remain current
Medication & Medical Alerts
Medication may only be administered according to center policy and applicable
licensing requirements.
- Medication must be in the original container
- Prescription medication must have the child’s name and current instructions
- Written parent authorization may be required
- Emergency medications require current instructions and action plans when applicable
- Parents must notify the center of allergies, asthma, seizures, or other medical needs
Transportation
Transportation may be available based on program eligibility, staffing, route capacity,
and operational needs.
- Written authorization is required for transportation services
- Pickup and drop-off locations must be accurate and current
- Children will only be released to authorized persons
- Emergency contacts must remain updated
- Transportation availability may change based on route needs or center operations
Field Trips & Special Events
Written parent authorization is required for children to participate in field trips.
Children may not attend a field trip without a completed and signed field trip form.
- Parents will be notified of field trip details in advance
- Emergency contact information must be current
- Children must follow field trip safety expectations
- Special events may require separate permission or supplies
Food, Allergies & Nutrition
Families must notify the center in writing of food allergies, dietary restrictions,
medical nutrition concerns, or physician-directed food limitations.
- Outside food may be restricted unless approved
- Birthday treats and celebration food require prior approval
- Items containing known allergens may be restricted
- The center may deny food items that present allergy, choking, health, or policy concerns
Clothing & Personal Items
Children should arrive dressed for active play, outdoor time, meals, art, and hands-on
learning activities.
- Send weather-appropriate clothing
- Label jackets, blankets, bottles, and extra clothing
- Send extra clothes for younger children and children potty training
- Personal toys should remain home unless requested by the teacher or center
Discipline & Behavior Guidance
The center uses positive behavior guidance to help children develop self-control,
responsibility, emotional regulation, and appropriate social skills.
- Staff may use redirection, modeling, reminders, and positive reinforcement
- Harsh, humiliating, or harmful discipline is prohibited
- Repeated unsafe behavior may require parent conferences or support plans
- Enrollment may be discontinued if a child’s needs cannot be safely met in group care
Safety & Security
The safety of children, families, and staff is a top priority.
- Exterior doors must remain closed and secured
- Visitors may be required to show photo identification
- Parents should not hold doors open for unknown individuals
- Suspicious activity may be reported to local authorities
- Children must remain supervised in the parking lot
Emergency Closures & Weather Updates
The center may delay opening, close early, or close entirely due to weather,
utility interruptions, safety concerns, public health matters, or building emergencies.
- Updates may be sent through Brightwheel, phone, text, email, or other methods
- Families should keep contact information current
- Parents should plan ahead for alternative care when closures occur
- Tuition obligations during closures follow the center’s current policies unless otherwise announced
Parent Responsibility
Parents/guardians are responsible for reading center policies, keeping contact and
medical information updated, paying tuition on time, signing children in and out,
communicating respectfully, and working cooperatively with the center when concerns arise.
Continued enrollment is subject to compliance with center policies, payment requirements,
licensing standards, and safety expectations.
